Your Comprex® cleaning center

Have the heat exchanger professionally cleaned

Comprex® Cleaning Center

Efficient cleaning - directly at our cleaning center

In addition to cleaning stationary heat exchangers and pipes on site at your company, we also run a Comprex® cleaning center at our technology and development site in Landau. There we currently offer the following cleaning services:

  • Cleaning brazed and screwed heat exchangers
  • Cleaning of cooling channels in injection molds
  • Cleaning of tube bundle heat exchangers

You have the option of sending both individual heat exchangers and series of dismantled heat exchangers to our site and having them cleaned by us during a planned shutdown of your systems, for example.

Preparatory and accompanying we offer to carry out the following engineering services:

  • Feasibility study for little-known contamination with creation of a customized cleaning strategy
  • Documentation of the cleaning results
Photography, endoscopy, pressure and flow measurements (up to 60 l/min), collection of the dirt discharge on filter fleece
On request, we can provide you with the results of the documentation in the form of a results report

Heat exchangers, charge air coolers and tube bundle heat exchangers of unusual geometry are connected to the heat exchanger cleaning stand. We can provide several connection sizes and connection types for this purpose. The exact coordination of the appropriate connections is carried out by one of our contacts before the heat exchanger is sent to our cleaning center.

Evaluation of the results

Results documentation

In addition to cleaning your heat exchangers, we offer you various options for evaluating the result and documentation, which can be supplied in the form of a results report on request.

The following options are available, which can be ordered individually and in combination.

  • The collection of the discharge flow on filter fleece enables the subsequent analysis of the composition of the contamination.
This allows future cleaning strategies to be defined more precisely.
  • Photography and endoscopy provide an insight into the cleaned canals.
  • The pressure difference is measured before and after cleaning.

Additional option

The capabilities of air and water can be extended in difficult cases. The accompanying use of surfactants or preconditioning with a citric acid solution makes it easier to dissolve oil contamination or lime. The effectiveness of the mechanical cleaning and the solution-enhancing additives reinforce each other, so that a high level of cleaning effectiveness is achieved with comparatively gentle use.

Alternative to new procurement

Economic cleaning strategy

Internal cleaning of brazed heat exchangers, especially if performed regularly, increases their service life. This cleaning strategy is the economical alternative to purchasing new heat exchangers. The Comprex® process and its combinations are effective against a wide range of soiling and replace several individual cleanings, each effective against one type of soiling.

In general, the prices for cleaning are based on the external dimensions or volume of the panel pack, the presence of special soiling and the cost of connecting to our cleaning technology.

We offer documentation with upscale requirements as an additional option. The result of cleaning the individual heat exchangers is documented depending on the requirements and problem.

The following tools are available for this purpose:
– Photography
– Endoscopy
– Turbidity measurement
– Flow measurement (max. 60 l/min)
– Collecting the rinse water discharge on filter fleece
– Differential pressure

The results are summarized in a report by one of our engineers and supplemented by a conclusion and recommendations. The costs for this depend on the number of heat exchangers and the depth of the documentation.

What sets our solution apart:
With our Comprex® air-water pulse rinsing system, we offer an effective, sustainable and resource-saving cleaning alternative.
